A day of fun on MLK day!

The kids had a 4 day weekend with Martin Luther King day on Monday. Since I had no other kids than my own, I decided to get out of the house for a fun filled day! We took a vote and decided to go Ice Skating. The kids have been before and were very excited to go. We got to the rink and there were quite a few people there, but not so packed we couldn't skate, so that was good! Cameron has that athletic side to him, only being skating one other time, he got right out there on the Ice and within 20 minutes or so, he was a pro! Skating around like he was some BIG hockey player. LOL He had a great time!

Jocelyn wasn't as eager to get right out there on the ice. Holding my hand the whole time, as If I wasn't going to fall or something.... I think I was worse than her on skates, but hey.... I wasn't going to tell her that. We were on the ice for about 2 1/2 hours total and by the end of that time, Jocelyn was finally getting it down. Cameron did really good trying to teach her. The 3 of us had a great time and can't wait to go again.

After Ice Skating... we went to Walmart and got our craft supplies to make "Dirt Babies". This was super fun and we can NOT wait for their hair to grow in. Basically, we threw dirt into a few stockings with grass seed and put a face on. The kids named their babies, and they are so excited to take care of them and water them everyday.

The kid's finished "dirt babies" Stay tuned for updates on Hair growth. lol
