Dirt Babies...

Okay, one of my friends just posted on Facebook this awesome project for kids. I am going to be getting the supplies in the next few days to make these with the kids. I would have never thought of such a thing, but man what a great idea. For those of you interested... Here is the recipe. I will post our finished "babies". :D

What you will need

Knee high stockings (one each)

dirt

grass seed

glue gun

pipe cleaners/googly eyes/puff balls

jar, cup or glass of your choice

water

What to do

With the knee high stocking, drop in 1 TBS of grass seed (into the stocking) first. Take approximately 1 1/2 cups of dirt and gently shake it down into the stocking till it forms a ball then tie the end of the stocking shut.

Flip over and with the glue gun, glue on your face using your pipe cleaners, googly eyes and puff balls.

Take your glass/cup of choice, fill with water. Stick your dirt baby into the glass of water with the end of the stocking inside of the cup/glass and the baby slightly submerged in the H2O.

Keep your baby in a well lit area (window seal) AND water about every 1 or 2 days.

After a few days.... your baby will have hair!!! Have loads of fun giving him/her a special name to match their Mohawk, flat top or beautiful long hair. :)

and the most important part.... Have LOADS of fun!!!
