Here are pictures of Christmas morning. This whole day was pretty magical. Not only for the kids, but for all of us. Christmas eve consisted of our yearly ritual. We went out and looked at Christmas lights drinking hot cocoa. This was a fun night, but I have to say.... we were a bit disappointed at the few lights compared to last year. We still had fun though.
Christmas morning, the kids ran into our room and screamed that "Santa" had been at our house. Chyenne and I casually looked at one another as the excitement pored over into our kids. This was such an exciting time for us, as we both just LOVE to relive a little bit of our childhood thru the eyes of our kids.
As our kids went thru their stockings and read the "Santa" letter, we got up and dressed for the big gift opening.
Going out to the tree, I was just amazed at how many gifts were really under that tree. Here we were.... worried that we were not going to be able to give our kids the Christmas of a life time, but as I looked at all those gifts, all those worries went away.
I had sat down with the kids weeks earlier and helped them put together a "want" list for Santa. Well, as you may know. Jocelyn's want list could have been bought at the dollar store. Cameron on other hand..... Cell phone ?!? Who on earth gives a 7 year old a cell phone? A DS?!? What does this kid want? A Wii? Will an empty box work? What ever happened to wrapping up those empty boxes just to have fun with the ribbon and paper? Im afraid those days are long gone.
Soooo the Christmas holiday as it drew near, and the stress grew more and more. Who wants to disappoint a little boys heart? Wanting a Wii grew and grew and soon grew into somewhat of a lust. LOL
My son just knew he was getting a Wii. Well, mom wanted to play a little trick on the spoiled turd. Yep, we hid it in the fireplace. When all the gifts were open, that Wii was still sitting in the fireplace unopened. Ha! We got him. The pictures say it all. It WAS pretty exciting to see his reaction opening that thing. LOL
Here are some pics that are pretty good. I didn't load all of them. I took alot. Enjoy.
